Just a quick post (maybe) while Greg takes a last dump before we leave for Thanksgiving festivities.

In knitting news, I finished a head-kerchief for myself out of leftover Crazy Color from the turkish sock. Have been shopping the sock around trying to find someone it fits, with the plan to knit the second sock and give them the pair – the one I’ve done is way too small for me, and too pretty to toss or rip. In the spirit of finishing WIPs, I finished a legwarmer that’s been on the needles I don’t know how long, and started a second, am almost done with that one, too. Am also working on a striped scarf for a friend, it’s cute and soft.

And got my hair cut last night – an early bday present from Greg. Supercute cut.

Alright, time to go. Happy Thanksgiving, peeps!

My sisters came down yesterday, since it was Sarah’s fifteenth birthday, and I baked a cake and took everyone to Pao Lim (which wasn’t as stupendous as it usually is, boo), and opened presents and shit. And I had diarrhea all weekend and spent the majority of my time either in the bathroom, en route to a bathroom, or trying not to poop myself. And Susan made some little movies with her cell, like this one:

HOT: Apparently Ausiello’s spoiler about who would be playing a hero’s pop? George Takei, playing Hiro’s father.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Ms. Black Apple, for introducing me to LibriVox. Holy hell, I love it already. I can’t decide what to listen to first. And I think I may have to get Greg to help me “volunteer” and read a chapter.

Speaking of the Black Apple, go check out her blog (linked above), and her Etsy shop. It’s the hotness. I really want her Christmas cards, and, like, ALL of her prints. I’ll be honest: I have some favorites that are on my “to-buy-first” list, but I really just love everything she does, and want one of each, please.

IMDB News reports that Eccleston is joining Heroes, and says, “However, there are rumors the Gone In Sixty Seconds star could take the role of mystery serial killer Syler. A show insider told British newspaper Daily Star, “Chris is a fantastic actor and we’re delighted to have him on board. No one has seen Syler and Christopher could be perfect as the bad guy.”"

No, sorry, wrong. Unless Syler can morph – and if he can, hell yes, please let Eccleston play him – but unless Syler can morph, we’ve already seen him. Zachary Quinto plays him. Spoilers reported this a while ago, and he showed up in last week’s episode. (Speaking of which, omg, it’s Monday! New epi tonight, yes!)

Hiro is supposed to get a mentor after the winter break. There’s also a gruff mentor named Claude that we’ll “come to love” – I’m hoping that 1-Claude is Hiro’s mentor, and 2-Eccleston will play Claude. Because I’m sure Eccleston could rock “gruff but loveable.”

Yay! I’m glad other people are excited about the Eccleston-Heroes news. It’s stupendous, I think. In case you wanted more details, there aren’t many, but he’s set to join the cast in January. There’s also some speculation that he’ll play Niki’s dad, but I think that’s pretty unfounded. I read it on TWOP’s Heroes spoiler threads, and apparently it’s from an Ausiello session. Ausiello spilled about Eccleston joining in January, and then said something like “And you won’t believe who’s ******* ****’s ****!” So people assumed the asterisks meant “playing Niki’s dad” (although the last word has four letters, too, so I guess it would have to be “papa”), and then assumed that since it was in the same paragraph as the Eccleston news that *he* was playing Niki’s dad. I don’t buy this, because 1-it reads to me like Ausiello’s talking about two different people, and 2-Niki’s alright, but I don’t know if she’s cool enough to pair up with Eccleston. (I’m also not a huge Ali Larter fan.) Hiro and Eccleston, though, that I can fully get behind.
