I CAN HULA HOOP! Fuck yes. I made a larger hoop today (with lots of help from Greg, and Jeremy, too, to get it closed around the insertion connector), and I can keep it up for about a minute and a half. I don’t know how many revolutions that is, I kinda lost track after 30. Go me. Except, I can’t hoop with my right foot in front; only with the left foot in front. Ah well. It’s awesome!! I looooooove it.
And, man, I fucking love this song, but haven’t thought of it in ages and just now found it again:
Gary Numan’s a badass. (Especially that time he helped Vince and Howard…)
Greg gave me an early anniversary present today – it’s a t-shirt, and it’s fucking RAD!

I had to stay home sick today, and felt pretty bad at times – and then after dinner, Greg got the mail, and gave me the shirt, and it perked me right up. (Okay, well, taking a long shower also helped. But I think the shower helped my aches and my sinuses; while the t-shirt helped my *mood*.) He also ran out to get milk this morning, and picked me up some yogurt, since my stomach was upset. What a sweetheart!
I’ve been doing yard work, but keep forgetting to “count” it in the SC2K9 tally. Oh well. The important thing is, I’m getting exercise and sweating (haaaaaate), whether I’m keeping track of it on here or not.
I also made two hula hoops for myself, and Jeremy and Kimmie came over Thursday night and made hula hoops for themselves, too. I *just* finished taping my second hoop tonight, with the sparkly tapes. The first hoop is just green and black vinyl tapes. The second hoop (which is slightly heavier, and slightly larger, so probably the one I will use most often while I’m still learning, since heavier and larger equals easier for beginners) has black and white vinyl tapes, hematite metallic tape, and pink sparkle tape.

And I’ve been working on my proofing for Project Gutenberg, trying to be a better proofer, and trying to get into the higher proofing and formatting rounds (because that’s where the backlogs are), and I’ve started working on F1 (first round of formatting), and have applied for P3 (third round of proofing), and have started challenging myself in the rounds I do have access to. I did my very first table the other day – it was kind of a pain in the ass, but once it was done, I was all proud of myself and shit. Aww. Anyway, it’s bedtime, but I’m going to work on posting my own “backlogged” photos that haven’t been posted yet, and now that my hoops are wrapped, I can work on some sewing projects (well, when I’m not doing yardwork and/or trying to learn to hula hoop – AND! I need to work on my ukulele playing more diligently).
Okay, so I’m a sucker for anything supernatural. Charmed, though pretty bad, was my jam. I loooooooove Supernatural. The Mummy movies. The Craft. Practical Magic. You name it, I’m on it. Jesus christ, I even liked Bloodsuckers, and that movie is fucking BAD.
So when Chiller airs a vampire movie called Bitten that I haven’t seen before, I thought, “Shit yeah, I’ll dvr this bitch and watch it over the weekend.” I mean, why not, right?
I’ll fucking tell you why not: it stars Jason Mewes. What is his deal? He might have been passingly amusing for a quick second as “Jay,” although I haven’t seen like the last two or three Kevin Smith movies, so I can’t talk about them – but goddamn, everything Mewes has starred in since then has been utter, utter shit. I’ve watched fifteen minutes of this dreck, most of which is commercials, and I can already tell this is going to be an abysmal retread of Out for Blood.
Oh my god. A sixty-something-year-old man just referenced “the shocker.” DELETED.
2k9SC: 4.73 miles
Did some bellydancing tonight – not sure how to “count” it in miles, so just counting it as “one.” Awesome.
I took off most of the past two days from work because I was sick. Went to the doctor’s yesterday – she thinks it’s most likely my birth control, and switched me to a new one. Should know in about a month. If it’s not the birth control, I get to have bloodwork done to check other fun stuff like mono and celiac. So I’m really hoping it’s the birth control. I can’t imagine having to cut gluten entirely out of my diet. Speaking of food, I *still* haven’t gotten around to posting pictures of the meals I cooked that week like I keep meaning to. I should do it now, while the internet’s working, but my right arm hurts from mousing, and it’s almost time for Lost. Sorry. Maybe next time.
