Kicked off a fantastically fun weekend with coffee and late dinner with a friend, and learned where Books Do Furnish a Room is. Which, sadly, was closed, but looks really cool and a little quaint. (In other words, right up my alley.) Next time!

I did this for NTMS’s weekly showcase, but didn’t get the pictures to Wendi in time, nor this post up. Bew, me. But I did it, and here it is. (Although, to be honest? I’m kind of glad it’s not in the showcase post – everyone else’s *smokes* mine, they’re so awesome!) And, let me toot my own horn, that dress is KILLER. I clean up pretty nicely, no? (The dress is from Bettie Page.) We went to the Pinhook to listen to our friend Jay play accordion with his Cajun/zydeco/AWESOME band. It was AMAZING. And then the guys all had a Ms. PacMan competition, and guess what? Yours truly is married to the winner. I know, it’s pretty sweet. I’m going to start entering him into competitions and watch the money just roooolllllll in. 
Seriously, though, it was cute.

(I’m quite a bit backed up on posting FOTDs and swatches – which is fortunate, as I’ve been sick and a bit stressed lately, and it’s playing merry hell with my chin. I don’t know if it’s a small breakout, or cold sores (heaven forbid!), or milia – but it’s making me disinclined to put makeup on, and a bit camera-shy.)
